SSD upgrade: make an old computer fast again

If your computer still has a spinning hard drive, yes, and it's not subtle: it's the single biggest speed difference you can make to an everyday computer, and a lot of machines people were ready to give up on feel close to new afterward. Startup goes from minutes to seconds, and programs open when you click them. The honest caveat is that not every slow computer is slow because of the drive.
