Is my laptop worth fixing, or should I just buy a new one?
That's exactly the question the $60 diagnostic answers, and we'll answer it honestly. A laptop repair is usually a fraction of the cost of a new machine, and things like a battery, screen, or charge port are routine fixes. But if yours is genuinely at the end of the road, we'll say so plainly instead of selling you a repair, and we can move your files and photos over to whatever you get next.
My laptop only charges when the cord sits just right. Is that the charger or the laptop?
It can be either, and guessing wrong gets expensive: people replace two or three chargers before finding out the port itself is loose. We test both for the flat $60 and tell you which it really is. A worn charge port is a repair we do every week, and it's almost always far cheaper than replacing the laptop.
I spilled coffee (or water, or juice) on my laptop. Is it dead?
Not necessarily, but the clock matters. Power it off, unplug it, don't try to turn it back on, and bring it in as soon as you can. We open it up, clean the spill out properly with professional ultrasonic cleaning, and tell you honestly what survived. Plenty of spilled-on laptops come back to life when they're treated quickly instead of left to corrode.

On most repairs your files come through untouched, and they never leave the machine. If your photos or documents really matter, say so at drop-off and we'll talk through backing them up first, and if a drive is already failing we'll tell you honestly what the options are before we touch anything.
